Rail Cargo Carrier joins ERFA as newest member

During its last meeting, the Board of Directors of the European Rail Freight Association (ERFA) welcomed Rail Cargo Carrier (RCC) as its newest member. Headquartered in Budapest, Rail Cargo Carrier is a railway undertaking active in 13 European countries.

RCC provides traction and freight services across major international corridors. In 2024, RCC delivered more than 12 million train-kilometres of service. With its wide geographical coverage and interoperable locomotive fleet, the company plays an important role in connecting European markets and supporting the shift to sustainable transport.

ERFA President, Dirk Stahl, stated, “We are happy to welcome Rail Cargo Carrier into ERFA. We believe that Rail Cargo Carrier’s presence will increase ERFA’s ability to take informed positions taking into consideration various national situations. We look forward to working with Rail Cargo Carrier towards the development of a liberalized and competitive European rail freight market”.
